Robyn McCorquodale: Music

Mirror

(Music & Lyrics by Robyn McCorquodale ©2001)
Every day seems like the same day
With the same thought on my mind
It never leaves me
It's been with me since I was a child
It taunts my brain
It hunts me down
Sometimes I feel so out of control
It makes me insane
It's like a ball and chain
It owns my soul

Mirror on the wall
Is this the vision I recall
Do I love myself at all
Mirror on the wall

Why do you hurt me, why do you stare
Mirror everywhere
I just want to see someone looking back at me
Someone to love, someone to need
Alone in shame, I'm obsessed but can't confess
I've learned to keep it, keep it to myself
Who would I ever tell, who could ever help
Who'd understand this crazy person in the mirror

Mirror on the wall
Is this the vision I recall
Do I love myself at all
Mirror on the wall
