ROBYN'S STORY

"A strong, ringing voice that's perfectly lovely and certainly polished" ~ Show Business, NYC

Vocalist, pianist and songwriter, Robyn McCorquodale is more than a credited musician and international entertainer. She’s an inspired artist with a story to share. Her music is uplifting and powerful. Her lyrics are relevant and meaningful. Her storytelling is thoughtful and engaging. Vancouver born and based, she’s on a journey of adventure and personal growth discovering jewels of wisdom on seven continents. She’s a woman with passion, dreams and an unyielding desire to explore life and create meaningful music that touches hearts, uplifts souls and empowers minds: “Polished entertainment and fresh inspiring music.” ~ Electronic Link Journey, NYC

A native of Vancouver, Canada, Robyn’s musical education began with The Royal Conservatory in piano and voice, followed by a Music Degree from the University of British Columbia. Fusing elements of jazz, pop, blues and country, Robyn’s formal training as a classical musician further blends a contemporary pop performance and writing style that is uniquely Robyn. With infectious melodies and grooves performed by her graceful dulcet tones, her compelling messages sing out with heartfelt enthusiasm. Skilled with her signature piano stylings and a vocal richness that performs intimate whispers to dynamic passion, she is very much her own artist: "Her vocals are extraordinary, crisp, clear, filled with color and shadowing"~ Stu Hamstra, Cabaret Hotline, NYC

Robyn releases her SINGLE, We Fly Together or We Don't Fly at All, an uplifting Pop Anthem honouring seniors and celebrating health care professionals and medical first responders. Arranged and produced by Vince Mai, the title and theme are rooted in Celtic spirituality and Robyn’s lyrics reflect her journey as a primary caregiver for her parents. The power ballad was written pre-COVID though midst the audio and video recording projects, increasingly took on greater significance as the pandemic evolved. With the rollout of the vaccine and new hope for 2021, she is motivated to share her song and positive message: “A journeyman’s gift for songwriting and expressing the human heart that sets her apart from most songwriters today … an enchanted voice … a winner on every level"  ~ John Hoglund, Cabaret Scenes, NYC

Robyn, a versatile artist and seasoned performer, celebrated her new Album, Sleep With Angels in an Original Multi-Media Presentation titled Diary of a Piano Girl. An entertaining and inspiring journey featuring songs, stories and seven continents, this unique concert which Robyn plans to tour, premiered on stage in Downtown Vancouver at the Orpheum Annex, Friday, September 19, 8.00pm: "No one writes and sings uplifting songs as beautifully as Robyn McCorquodale … an exquisite show and experience from start to finish!!” ~ Skyy Powers, She-Boom! CFRO Radio 100.5 FM Vancouver

Robyn's musical journey began with a 60 day adventure singing in Southeast Asia for a notorious playboy Prince and his Harem. This is one of the many engaging stories that Robyn loves to share with her audience. In a world fueled by power and excessive material wealth, her lasting memory of time spent in notably one of the richest places in the world, is the vivid and haunting impression of the many sad eyes she left behind, including her own. This life altering experience defined the direction of Robyn’s music career: to write and share meaningful songs that would uplift, inspire and empower. “Her wealth of talents: a strong yet nuanced singing voice; colorful, jazz-flavored piano work, innate charm, intelligence and good spirits"

~ Peter Haas, Cabaret Scenes, NYC
